Press releases are extremely valuable to you as a business owner. Leveraging your news will increase your exposure and draw traffic to your website. This will generate free traffic if done properly.

When writing a press release for the internet there are some simple steps to follow that will keep your release focused and news worthy. Follow these basic guidelines and you will have a well read press release that will spread across the net. The internet is full of content with 1.5 billion people. You want to make sure your release will capture attention.

Let's start off with the press release topic you will write about. Keep in mind that keywords rule the internet. The more you understand them, the better you will get at attracting your customers. The first step is to make a list of five to ten keywords that are related to the topic you choose. Out of those keywords, pick one that will be the topic of your first release.

You want to start off by asking yourself questions that you will answer in the press release. What specific event am I announcing? When did this event take place? Who was involved in this event? Why would other people be interested in reading about this event? Where can people find out more information?

After you have answered the questions about your topic, you will write two to three quotes as if someone was interviewing you about this event. These quotes should reflect what you think and feel about this event. Be authentic and let the audience hear your voice. Let the excitement of the event come through in your quotes.

The final step is to write your release notes into a final release. It should read like a news story as if someone else wrote it. Be sure your keywords are used three or four times in the body of the press release and in the title of the press release. Don't over use the keywords in the body of the release.

You will then distribute it through out the internet by using proper channels that push it out to the right readers. If done properly, you will have all the right people waiting for your next press release. This technique is one of many ways to increase your internet exposure. The ultimate goal is to drive traffic to your website and turn people into fans, and then turn them into customers. (Guy & Michele Luminato)

Many people will say it is difficult to rank high on the search engines and drive targeted traffic to your site of offer page. I don't believe it is all that hard to do, that is not to say it won't take some time and effort on your part but not hard at all.

There are a few simple yet very powerful ways to drive traffic to your site or offer page without every spending one dime on leads, hit, traffic exchanges, etc… I am going to go over two such techniques in the following part of this article.

Technique 1: Forum Posting

Forums are probably the best and quickest way to drive interested people to your site or offer page. You can literally have hundreds of real people in front of your offer in a matter of hours or a few days. The one great thing about this traffic is it never goes away and over times simply grows. So how exactly do we accomplish such a feet might be your question.

Well it is really very simple there are two main things you must have and do in order to make this work flawlessly. First you have to have a signature file with a link to the site you wish people to visit with a simple curiosity capturer as the text. Second you have to have non advertising valuable post in the forum. These could be your own created threads or simply replies to someone else's thread that is very popular.

You see whenever you post to a thread that already has hundreds or thousands of viewers and replies each time a new reply is posted they will all be emailed informing them of the new added post and thus they read your valuable input and see your curiosity grabber and click on your link taking them right where you wanted them in the first place (your offer). Can you see how over time and posting in 5 to 10 good forums a day might boost your traffic almost over night? Well trust me on this one it can and will and even grow over time.

What you must be careful of when doing this is that you do not come across as spammy because they have monitors watching every post in the better ones that will almost immediately remove your post and ban you from making post to their forum if you violate their forum guideline so be sure you understand them before you begin to post.

Technique 2: Article Marketing

Articles are another very good way to grow your targeted traffic flow over time. I have heard of all kinds of strategies when it comes to Article Marketing but I think the best way to go about it is create 1 or 2 articles per day and post them to 5 really high PR and High traffic Article Directories. You can easily find Article Directories willing to post your article as long as the article is unique and has value to whatever subject it is written on.

You also want to be sure to have a strong call to action at the end of each article that directs the readers to click through to your site or offer page. When you craft these right your article will more than likely go viral in no time as there are literally thousands of hungry webmasters frequenting these Article directories looking for new valuable content to add to their sites on a daily basis so chances are someone will pick your article if it is worth it and add your article along with your link to their site adding to the traffic to your site. Online business is not cheap. You need to spend thousands of dollars on the advertisements. You spend a lot of money on Google Adwords or on the other advertisers like adbrite etc. You also pay a lot of money for buying text link ads and banner space etc. So, in this case, it becomes very expensive to advertise the business.

So, my favorite way of marketing is free kind. Everything that does not increase my advertisement cost. Anything which is free I like that, especially if it helps my websites make more money without increasing my advertising costs.

So, here are few methods which can offer you some free advertisement means, without adding any extra cost to it.

# Free Business Cards

The business cards can be left everywhere and can be given to anyone. The best thing is that this is free! You can use them, wherever you want and can give them to everyone. I feel great whenever I get a shipment of my business cards.

# Exchanging backlinks

This is the best way of sharing visitors. You put the links of other websites on your website and in exchange they also give you a text link on their web pages. This is called link exchange. The more number of links on other websites will lead to more visitors. This is also a great source of traffic.

# Comment Posting & forums

Comment posting is also a great source of traffic. You post a comment on the similar blogs or the website and put your link in an intelligent way so that it does not look like a spam. The good quality posts should be there. You can also join forums. Mostly the forums give you the option to add signatures. If you post useful threads and start good topics then more members will read it and they will like to visit the websites in your signatures.

All of these methods are free and will give you more backlinks and traffic, but it is not the only way of making money. There are so many people on the internet who make thousands of dollars daily. They do not own any website, blog, product, service and do not use any advertisement. They do only the experiments. Every time experiments done by them leave something great. I also keep on surfing to look after such kind of experiments. If you surf internet then will find these experiments in the shape of e-books and reports. Some of them are free and the others are for sale. I prefer free ones, because they do not involve any risk. Here is a such a free report, I found eventually on the internet, made by a great marketer. Hope it can leave a huge amount for you, if pursued properly. (Chetan Ahuja)

There are some strange ways to make extra cash from literally anywhere in your house and anywhere in the world. Just decide which room you can set up your internet connection, hopefully it's a room where you can get some peace and quite, not like mine, and that's all there is to it.

Right yeah, well perhaps it's quite not that simple there's a little bit more to it than that, and the first thing your probably thinking is how much will it cost me to get up and running?

Well I believe the best way to start is to venture into affiliate marketing as this can be done with little or even no cost at all. If you're seriously looking for strange ways to make extra cash then this must be the best or at least one of the best.

You have probably already heard of it as it's getting more popular by the day because of its advantages. As you may know affiliate marketing involves selling other peoples products in return for commissions that could be as high as seventy five percent of the total purchase price and the most popular products are digital ones.

Digital products such as eBooks and software are popular as the customer just downloads them to their computer by the click of a mouse after making a payment. Which means you don’t have to manufacture, store or ship anything.

Now then, please beware that there are lots of people claiming they can make you rich, even overnight sometimes. They are only after you're money, and have no interest in helping you.

I honestly believe the only money you should spend is on an education. You need to learn from someone that knows all the ins and outs and has a genuine interest in you, the student. (Ben J Harvest)

SEO and forums equally play a significant role in bringing more traffic at your website. However, surveys have proven that forum visitors are generally pro-active information seekers as well as engaged users. Hence, forum visitors coming to your site are worth more than average visitors.

Here we would like to share some common but important rules which is helpful in starting your forums campaign and creating huge traffic through it

Build a solid profile: A solid profile is a must to invite more and more visitors at your site. While registering try o fill up accurate information about yourself. This will help when people want to know more about you and befriend you. Maintain a clean and clear message about what you do and what your web site is all about. Putting avatars also helps out since it can help you from differentiating easily. Also put on a strong and influencing signature.

Stick to rules: Read and study the rules of the forum and always stick to the same.

Be pro-active and responsive: Conversations, communities etc are the main features of forums. So, try to be as much pro-active and responsive so that you gain your own recognition.

Don’t provide half-baked response: Who loves eating a half baked cake? If you are responding then make sure you are providing relevant, immediate and useful information.

Never copy-cat: Always stick to your original ideas and opinions. Never copy cat what has been already opined by someone.

Contribute your know-how: Forum is a good medium to exhibit and contribute your know-how so, don’t miss out any opportunity to do so.

Never self-promote: Beating your own trumpet in any forum is a strict no no. So, make sure that you don’t post any information about your own web site and products unless there is a compelling situation that involves the same.

Stick to a crispy self introduction: While introducing yourself stick to a crispy and crunchy content in order to catch attention of everyone

Intelligent and correct write up: Revise, review, and re-evaluate whatever you have written. Proof read everything before you post anything. Use spell check if you are not so sure of your spellings.

Say no to negativity: Never use negative thought or vocabulary while posting a forum. (Arvind)

Internet Marketing

Whether you are just starting out on the internet or you have been around for a while, these six principles of internet marketing, if applied consistently, can steer you in the right direction to generating an income from the web. It is important to understand at the outset that generating an income online is not something that can be achieved overnight. It takes time to build up an online home business, just like any business, and if you are prepared for this and seriously want to earn online, then you will not get disappointed and lose hope after a couple of months, for more detail go to: www.tried-tested-marketing-strategies.com. but rather have the determination to press on until all your efforts pay off.

The first important principle therefore has to be Patience. Internet marketing is not about placing a couple of advertisements, joining a traffic exchange, sending a solo ad and sitting back and waiting for the money to roll in. You need to work hard at promoting your online home business on a daily basis, increasing your presence on the internet step by step until you start to see results. The second and third principles are Persistence and Perseverance. One needs to just keep on keeping on applying the principles, day in and day out, even though nothing is happening yet, because believe me, it will suddenly happen. The Never Quit attitude is required. It is important therefore not to expect to start earning shortly after launching your business.

Now that you realize you need to possess the mental qualities of patience, persistence and perseverance we can move on to the physical principles of marketing your business online. The fourth principal is Preparing your web site for the search engines or search engine optimization. This is really important as you need to have your site appear in the top searches for your keywords. This is basically free traffic and targeted and very valuable. SEO is something you can do yourself if you have your own domain, or you can hire an expert to optimize your site for you. I personally took the time to learn html so that I can make changes to my site as and when I need to.

The fifth principle is Posting, on a daily basis, to your own Blog, Forums and Web Directories. Blogs are the most search engine friendly Internet publishing tool in existence, meaning that the pages of your blog can start being indexed by the search engines almost immediately and some of your postings will start showing up in the free listings of the search engines when people search for various keywords.

So by adding quality content to your blog on a regular basis can generate free targeted traffic to your website potentially forever. By constructively contributing to Forums daily, with your domain burl in your signature helps promote your business enormously. You then need to submit your site to the Web Directories, this will help build back links to your web site. The sixth principle is Publishing articles. You will have noticed that so far all the principles of internet marketing are free and this one is no exception. Writing your own articles and publishing them regularly by submitting to a large number of article directories will build your back links and generate free traffic forever.

Please be sure to add your resource box to your articles, telling the readers a little about yourself and more importantly including the burl of your web site. You can hire companies to write articles for you, but my strong suggestion is write them yourself from your own experiences. Original content is king and the more original information you can distribute across the internet the more traffic you will generate to your site.

Search engine optimization or SEO is an internet marketing strategy that involves altering a website's on and off page information in order for it to rank higher in search engines. It is hoped that by following an SEO process, not only rankings will be increased but as a result the traffic to that website will also be increased. Fundamentally this is the name of the game; more traffic to a website means more business and more business understandably means more profit. If profits are increased the SEO process can be deemed a success, ultimately if the return on investment is positive the strategy has worked.

SEO specialists however differ greatly in the methods they employ. While it would be unfair to say that there is an element of guesswork to SEO there are many different methodologies that all produce results. Some practitioners may simply change on page information such as the content or code whereas others may well take a great deal of time building links and perfecting Meta data. Naturally the industry is highly competitive and hence SEO specialists are quick to promote their own strategies above others.

It is vitally important for any online business to undertake SEO. for more detail go to:www.greatseosecrets.com.Research has shown that of those people that use the internet, the vast majority use search engines in order to find products and services. Once this fact is accepted, it is quite clear why it is so important to be at the top of search engine rankings.

Nearly every computer user has heard of Google, the world's most popular search engine, understandably, if a business can top the listings for certain key terms on Google it is possible to make a great deal of revenue purely through internet sales.

The choice of key terms is one of the most important parts of any SEO strategy. Key terms need to be chosen along a number of different lines. For instance smaller businesses may not be able to top search engine rankings for search terms that are extremely popular. An example would be a one man mortgage broker opting to target a term such as 'mortgage'.

Whilst it would be possible for this company to top the rankings, when the budget for optimization is considered it is unlikely that it will match those of multinational finance corporations. This is why it is important to be realistic when selecting keywords. If this is understood success can be built upon after the initial key terms have proven successful.

Care should always be taken before embarking upon an SEO journey; unfortunately there are some unscrupulous operators out there that will charge for a non-existent or highly suspect services. There is not any true accountability for search engines so it is advisable to take a look at SEO awards websites to see the top performers, these should be able to point anyone new to the industry to the right companies who can ethically optimize websites and achieve good results.

It is hoped this article has given an extremely brief introduction to the world of SEO and some of the decision making processes that need to be followed should success be achieved. Today online trade and commerce is experiencing growth in a time of practical recession, steadily taking trade away from the high streets. In such an economic climate it is vital that businesses which conduct a large amount of online trade need to top the search engine rankings. The right SEO Company can do this, bringing greater traffic, customers and subsequently profits.

At the time of this writing, the country is facing real and growing fear … on Wall Street and on Main Street. The Congress, without shame, has passed the bailout plan along with a whole bunch of pork. In other words to get enough votes, individual members of Congress traded their “conviction” for their pet projects designed to do what … get more votes and insure their own political longevity. This is Democracy?

So what can you do? I say control those things that you and only you can control; your business and for the purposes of this writing your online business. For more details go to www.mrx-interview.com .Pay even closer attention to your business. Analyze all areas of your business. Don't cut cost just for the sake of cutting costs. Concentrate on efficiency ... getting more done with less! Through careful analysis you can always increase your efficiency and productivity in all areas of your business ... sales, marketing, customer service, finance and accounting, manufacturing, research and development.

1. The former involves "coming at the potential customer" almost always when not welcome. These methods are considered wildly successful if just a success rate of 1 in 200 is achieved ... not very efficient or cost effective.

2. The latter involves the targeted visibility achieved through Google, Yahoo and the rest where the potential customer initiates the contact at a time and place of their choosing. They are ready when they decide to search for your products and services. Predictably, the success rate is much higher than, sometimes as high as 15-20% if your website is easily found and is further optimized for converting the visitor.

Being found by those potential clients and buyers at precisely the time and place of their choosing … where else in the world can you more efficiently get the highest quality, the most qualified new business? While traditional advertising uses a wide and inefficient net to hopefully reach the right buyer mainly by the math of a tiny percentage of the market that will see your ad, open your mail, answer your phone call at precisely the time they are interested and ready to actually act, Internet Marketing is targeted and Search Engine Visibility in the organic or natural listings is only seen by the buyer when they want to see you. How many times have you called on a prospect or advertised traditionally where the buyer says “I’m amazed, I was just about to call you” … very rare, indeed. ALL searches that find you on the search is amazing in that you are being found exactly when it is “at the top of their list” of things to do.

So, if you find that your marketing dollars are restricted and therefore more precious than ever, you need to make the most out of every marketing dollar. So cut the inefficiency of traditional advertising and focus your marketing dollars on targeted traffic through the power of the internet and specifically the search engines. For more help go to www.website-conversion-mastery.com .My message: In these troubled times, the best investment you can make is in yourself and in your business. Focus on efficiency and productivity to maximize your profitability. Yes, cut costs where you can; but stay on offense more than on defense.

These days an internet marketing strategy plays a vital part of small business marketing strategies (or any size business marketing strategies for that matter). Web site marketing is an important part of just about any business, small or large.

You can't put up a beautiful (or any) web site and hope that people will just arrive. You have to let them know, IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY, that your web site is there. This HAS to be part of any Internet marketing strategy you develop. This is actually a basic marketing principle. Customers are not going to look for you, you have to look for them.

Promoting your web site on-line and building traffic is the subject of thousands of web sites, e-zines, books, courses and seminars. Using the web to promote your site, however, assumes that your customers are surfers. But there is a large percentage of our population that is not as savvy with the internet as we would like them to be.

So, what about the large percentages of the population who are not? They will only find out about you through traditional marketing and public relations media. This is particularly true if you serve a fairly local market. Fortunately these are the easiest and cheapest prospects for you to reach off-line.

Key Off-Line Internet Marketing Strategies

Here are some of the ways to make your web site known (this list was taken directly from the Traffic Building Volume of Ken Evoy's brilliant book, Make Your Site Sell! 2002:

• TV, print and other advertising

• Stationary and business cards

• Catalogs, fliers, billboards, blimps, etc.

• Direct mail (prominently on every document)

• Telemarketing (make it part of the script)

• News releases to targeted media.

The main principle, to which you can add all your imagination, is INTERNET MARKETING STRATEGY INCLUDES ANY AND ALL MEANS OF GETTING YOUR WEB SITE KNOWN AND VISITED BY TARGETED PROSPECTS.

Unless you have a high budget, the TV, radio, classified ad route is not recommended but if you do run ads, be sure to mention your web site everywhere. Make it part of your Internet Marketing Strategy.

Another guiding principle is that your off-line internet marketing activities should make it easy for your prospect to go straight to your web site. One of the best ways to market your website off-line is direct mail postcards.

If your prospect sees your website on a billboard as she's driving home, she probably won't look you up when she gets to the office the next day.

This is not the only medium that has problems like this. Newspapers are bulky, radio has to spell it out and like before most people are driving at the time. On the other hand, if your prospect is sitting at her computer and a post card comes in the mail announcing your web site, she can just turn around and type in your URL and she's at your web site.

Now if someone is in the office reading a trade journal and comes across an article about you in the magazine, it's not difficult for him to copy your URL into his browser and pay your site a visit.
I don’t mean to say that those other avenues won’t drive traffic to your site, but it will take numerous impressions and repetition to get them to remember your address.

On the other hand, direct mail postcards are generally received at the home or office where a computer is present, and if received somewhere else they are small enough to keep with you until you can get to a computer. This way, your prospective customer will be able to take the take right over to their desk top computer, type in your address and go right to your site. Brilliant!

I have seen the greatest success in off-line web site promotion with direct mail, and specifically direct mail postcards.
